Posted October 07, 2018 09:16:15 The new home for the NBA is expected to include more than 1,400 square feet of office space, which will feature a “living room” area, a “lounge” and a “kitchen” area.
The home is being built in partnership with developer Gensler.
Gensler, the real estate development company behind the new arena, will also develop a “green space” for the basketball and hockey arena.
The building will be open for basketball, hockey and soccer games during the season.
The NBA is also working with local businesses on a green-building project.
The team is also planning to open a second floor of the arena to “green” and “biodiversity-focused” spaces, including a “natural-inspired garden” and community gardens.
The arena is expected be completed by 2019.
The building is expected add nearly $3 billion to the local economy.
