A few months ago, I was in my cubicle at a company that was in the process of transitioning to a new, more sustainable office layout.
It’s a common process that companies undertake to transform a building to meet their sustainability goals.
It can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple years, depending on the complexity of the work being done.
The new layout had been designed by the firm Kirkwood, a design firm based in Ottawa that specializes in designing office furniture.
The company was hoping to reduce the use of paper and reduce energy consumption in the building by creating a new type of material that would be more durable and environmentally friendly.
After all, it was our company, and the materials we used were made in Canada.
And that’s what we’re trying to do with this new material, Kirkwood says.
It is a flexible material that is easy to bend and stretch and to create a material that will be able to last for years.
The materials are being developed to be used in office furniture, as well as for a variety of other materials that are used in other industries, including pharmaceuticals, electronics, furniture and even automotive components.
In the case of office furniture the materials are meant to be versatile and easy to reuse.
The goal is to use them in different ways.
It could be a replacement for a piece of office equipment, or in the case a desk, a storage space for office supplies, or a way to add a touch of class to your workplace.

The firm’s materials are designed for durability and to be easily recycled.
But the firm is also looking at how they could be used for other types of materials, like furniture or office accessories.
Kirkwood’s new materials include polyester-like, flexible, biodegradable, non-stick and hypoallergenic materials.
Some of the materials can be folded up to use in various configurations, and are available in a wide range of colors and finishes.
Some are being used for office furniture that has already been in use in Canada for years, while others could be part of an office furniture design that will come to a small number of Canadian companies over the next few years.
A lot of people are starting to see this kind of flexibility in their materials, says Kirkwood senior vice-president and chief sustainability officer Andrew Hahn.
He says that when we think of sustainable materials, we often think about things like paper and plastic.
But it’s also about materials that can be reused or recycled.
And we’re starting to think about what other kinds of materials can we use for the office and in our everyday life as well.
In addition to creating new materials for offices, Kirk Wood is looking at using them for the homes of its employees.
The material is being developed for office and home use, as part of a broader initiative called “Sustainability Design for Homes,” which is designed to help design and engineer homes that are more energy efficient and energy-efficient in the long run.
The program aims to reduce energy use, increase the number of people living with clean energy, and improve the quality of their homes.
“We’re also trying to design homes that have better climate-friendly design elements, which are really important to me,” Hahn says.
To make this happen, Kirk Wilson and his colleagues are also working with a number of partners, including some of the city’s leading companies. “
And when we’re designing for a home, we look at the design elements that really define it as a home.”

The Kirkwood team is looking to be one of the first to use the materials, but also partnering with others that have already developed and used Kirkwood materials.
The firms’ work in collaboration with those companies will eventually allow them to create materials that meet the sustainability standards of the company, Hahn explains.
That way, KirkWood’s materials will be used by other companies that are using Kirkwood in their own buildings.
“This is a real collaborative effort,” he says.
The collaboration is part of the process that is being conducted with the City of Toronto’s office space program, which is aimed at bringing together partners from the construction, office and residential sectors.
The city is also working on the design and implementation of a project to test Kirkwood material in the Toronto Harbour region.
Hahn is excited to see what the materials might look like in a Toronto building.
“There’s a lot of energy that’s going into building a great office environment, and that’s great, but we also need to have a sustainable environment,” he explains.
