What I was really impressed by when I first got the book was the sheer number of materials included in it.

In general, this book is well written, and it is easy for a person who is new to materials science to get into the materials science field.
I think that it is a good resource to have in your classroom or in your lab.
And it is really important that students know how to use these materials so that they are able to take advantage of their new understanding of materials science.
